Amy Love, PhD
Yoga and Movement Educator
One-on-one sessions informed by professional ballet training, yoga therapy, somatics and psychology, focused on improving fitness and psychological well-being.
Areas of Expertise
Somatics, Yoga, Dance, Meditation, Psychology, Mind-Body Connection
I work with clients on movement, attention, and habitual physical patterns. Sessions are exploratory and adapt to what is present in real time, rather than following fixed sequences or group instruction.
The sessions result in improved mind-body connection, healthy movement patterns and habits, improved flexibility and overall well-being.
This work tends to be relevant for people who:
-
notice chronic tension or over-control in movement
-
feel that group classes are too general or fast-paced
-
are interested in the relationship between attention and physical experience
-
want a more precise and individualized approach to movement
-
have limited movement ability due to chronic pain or aging
-
have backgrounds in dance, sport, or high-performance environments
Sessions are $120 for 60 minutes and are offered online or in person. In person sessions are for established/known clients only. Online sessions can be booked via the booking calendar, or by contacting me at amy@amylove.co for other availability.
Each session is individually structured and includes guided mind-body movement incorporating yoga, pilates, somatics, imagery, attention-based work, as well as observation of habitual patterns in coordination and effort.
